What Can a Louisiana Social Security Disability Attorney Help Me With?
Well, for starters, it’s always good to have an attorney on your side. One who is representing you and your best interests. Especially when you’re dealing with an insurance company or the government. See, insurance companies and government agencies have their own lawyers, and those lawyers are financially compensated to protect the best interests of their employers. That means they do NOT have helping you listed as number one on their priority list. We do, and we want to get you paid the money you deserve.
Social Security Disability (SSD) is a benefit available to people whose disabilities prevent them from earning a living. There are two types of SSD: Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), which is available to injured workers, their widowed spouses or disabled children; and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), which is available to disabled persons in financial need. The Social Security Administration (SSA) administers and regulates both the SSDI and the SSI programs.
The Louisiana Social Security Disability attorneys at Neblett, Beard & Arsenault have spent almost 40 years representing disability victims across the state. We know the frustrations faced by disabled individuals applying for Social Security Disability benefits. Even if you feel you have a clear case of severe disability, without the proper documentation and presentation of evidence, your claim may be turned down – in fact, a large majority of initial claim attempts are rejected. It’s important not to become discouraged, however, because an experienced disability lawyer can help you appeal your claim decision and obtain the benefits to which you are entitled.
