Understanding Auto Accident Injury Laws
If you’ve been injured in an accident, you may want to consult with an attorney. Understanding the auto accident injury laws in Louisiana is vital to the success of your injury claim. Our personal injury lawyers have decades of experience. We’ve handled auto accident cases for over 40 years and we know how the laws work in Louisiana. Our job is to protect your rights and to fight to get you the financial compensation you deserve. A lot of what we do stems from the fact that we understand the laws as well as how insurance companies try to “bend” policy rules to make the laws work in their favor. We fight to keep things honest, and most of all, to defend your best interests.
Understanding How Insurance Companies Work
Aside from understanding the auto accident injury laws in Louisiana, we believe we understand the inner workings of insurance companies. Regardless of what we are “sold” by insurance companies in TV commercials, we are “not” in “good hands”. Insurance companies are not “like a good neighbor”. At least, that’s how it feels when good people are denied legitimate injury claims. See, we are painted a picture that if and when we need help after an auto accident that our insurance providers will step up and bail us out. Sadly, too often injury victims are left “high and dry”. We understand the games insurance companies try to play. Our law firm fights to get insurance companies to step up and honor their commitment to financially “backing you up” after an injury.
Understanding Why Insurance Companies Scrutinize and Deny Injury Claims
From the FBI to the Insurance Information Institute, it’s very clear that insurance fraud is a real problem. According to Money Geek, billions of dollars a year are lost to auto accident injury fraud alone. This means insurance firms are on the defense, and rightfully so. Just like any business, they need to protect their investors and shareholders from fraud. However, sometimes insurance companies themselves “push the envelope” in our opinion, and in our opinion, sometimes they are the ones committing an unscrupulous act. Denying a real injury claim, simply because of loopholes in their paperwork, is wrong. We fight to protect your rights after an accident injury.
Understanding When to Settle and When to Fight an Injury Claim
We also believe we know when to settle and when to fight an injury claim. See, sometimes insurance companies “rush” to settle a claim. Too often, they offer a very low dollar amount and almost pressure the victim to settle. While our personal injury lawyers do work to get our clients paid as quickly as possible, we never “rollover” for an insurance company. Sometimes we are able to negotiate with the insurance company to step up and do the right thing outside of court, other times we may advise our clients to take a claim to court. This is one way we believe we stand out against the other injury law firms. We are NOT AFRAID to litigate a claim in court against major insurance companies and global companies.
